Great, sympathetic packaging. Two CDs in two jewel boxes (with glossy postcards) inside a small white box are perfectly haunting before a track is even played to confirm the mood. Inside, 15 artists pay tribute to the spectral soundtracks of Projekt label head Sam Rosenthal's band Black Tape for a Blue Girl. Bringing to mind the vaporous chamber spiritualness of This Mortal Coil, here are Alio Die, Attrition, Bleeding Like Mine, Eventide, Faith and Disease, Human Drama, Love Spirals Downwards, Loveliescrushing, Lycia, Soul Whirling Somewhere, Stay Frightened, Stoat, Sunwheel (nice organ ambiance on "Sky Blue Rooms"), Thanatos, and the Unquiet Void. Absolutely 100% beautiful, ghostly, spine-tingling, float-away music for the inner self you weren't previously in touch with. Music calms the savage beast. ~ Jack Rabid
