Guitarist Carl Filipiak is not overly distinctive but he is a versatile player, distorting his tone in spots so as to sound quite natural whether playing some postbop explorations or rockish fusion. The rhythm section is tight and there are some good solos from saxophonists Bob Berg and Dave Fairall (who are on different selections) along the way.
