商品の紹介

1962年にオーストラリア・パースにて設立されたインディペンデント・レーベル、CLARION RECORDSの3CDボックスセットが登場。1962年～1978年の間に120枚のシングル、20枚のEP、20枚のLPをリリースし当時、最も生産性の高い独立系レーベルの一つとされていました。

地元のラジオ局で働いていた10代の青年マーティン・クラークが、予備の寝室を即席のレコーディング・スタジオへと改造。パース初のプロフェッショナルなレコーディングスタジオとしてオープンしたマーティン・クラーク・レコーディング・スタジオは1966年に4トラック・レコーダーを導入し、CLARION RECORDSを立ち上げたのでした。

パースのテレビタレント、JOHNNY YOUNGによるTHE EASYBEATS"STEP BACK"カヴァーや、C/DC以前のボン・スコットが参加したTHE VALENTINESとその前身バンドTHE SPEKTORS、R&B/ソウル・ヴォーカリストRAY HOFFなど、厳選セレクトされた約4時間に及ぶ大ヴォリュームのボックスセットとなっています。
