ROBERT HOODがソロ活動を開始し30年目の節目での再発となった本作はトレードマークとなるサウンドへとたどり着き、のちにリリースされる名盤INTERNAL EMPIREやMINIMAL NATIONの礎となったエポックメイキング作です。リマスター担当はジャーマンテクノ巨匠THOMAS P.HECKMANNが担当!

Nowhere near as realized as his later Tresor recordings such as Internal Empire and Minimal Nation, Robert Hood's contribution to the Waveform Transmission series as the Vision was innovative for its time, nonetheless. Obviously influenced by his time spent in the Detroit group Underground Resistance and as a collaborator with Jeff Mills, this record finds Hood favoring a dark machine-like feel with plenty of hard-hitting 909 drum beats and an assaulting array of swirling high-frequency laser-sounding loops. With the syncopated pounding and the maelstrom of looped laser sounds, a stark, austere motif pervades throughout these eight songs; unfortunately, the variety of experimental song ideas so common to his later work is notably absent. ~ Jason Birchmeier
