インダストリアル・レコーズ最後の作品となった81年名作がLPリイシュー!オリジナル・リリースは1981年、インダストリアル・レコーズ最後の作品となったウィリアム・S・バロウズの名作。
1980年にスロッビング・グリッスルのメンバー(当時)であるジェネシス・P・オリッジとピーター・クリストファーソンは、ビート・ジェネレーションを代表する作家の一人ウィリアム・S・バロウズと、その遺作管理者ジェームズ・グラウアーズと面会し、それまで広く聴かれることのなかったバロウズの実験的なサウンド作品をコンパイルすることを決意。翌年から、スポークン・ワード、カットアップ、旅先で採取したフィールド・レコーディングのコラージュ、ラトビアの作家 / 知識人コンスタンティン・ラウディブの電子音声現象(EVP)に夢中になっていたバロウズのコレクションを膨大な時間をかけてエディットし完成したものが本作です。

This release, composed primarily of recordings that Burroughs himself made dating as far back as 1959, consists of numerous tape manipulations and experiments that are sort of sonically analogous to the cut-up techniques that Burroughs used in his writing.
