Clipped"、 "Die Like A Dog"、 "Galaxy"とタイトル曲である"Cherry"の4曲が収録されています!

Curve hit a trifecta in 1991 with the release of this EP, and once again, the lead track is another peak effort. "Clipped," which surfaced in slightly revamped form months later on the Doppelganger album, rocks just as hard in its original take here. If by now Curve had established a definite formula which they would rely a little too heavily on later, it still sounds pretty great in small doses, especially on the soaring instrumental break. Even more blasting is "Die Like a Dog," Halliday's statement of atheistic defiance against a universe of religion, backed to the max by more nuclear-strength guitar mania from Garcia. "Galaxy" is a bit more Curve-y as it was and would be, but "Cherry" itself is a more noticeable effort, starting with a quiet wash of sound and vocals before turning into a lovely combination of synth, guitar noise, and Halliday's still constant, fine croon. ~ Ned Raggett
