1990年代に大ヒットしたActraiserだが、その30周年を記念して古代祐三作曲のリマスター版オリジナルサウンドトラックが発売される。そしてこれには、2018年に行われた新日本 BGM フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の公演「古代祭り」の演奏も収録!
新しいオーケストラアレンジで生まれ変わった、異次元のクラシック音楽を再発見できる滅多にないチャンスだろう。当時、Actraiserのサウンドトラックは本当に革命的であった。
出始めのFM 音源は6音しか出なかった中、古代祐三は巧みにハードウェアを使いこなし、評論家に「ゲームカートリッジの中にオーケストラがいる」と言わせたほどで、今作の中でアレンジの技術とセンスを見せつけた。それは後の作曲家達に大きな影響を与えることとなる。
