Nicknamed the "Top of the Flops" by some in the snarky English press at the time, the 1979 festival from which this set is taken has since gained legend status for its original lineup of iconic bands. It was also called "Zoo Meets Factory Halfway," referring to the labels that provided the bands (Leigh was situated halfway between the former's Liverpool and the latter's Manchester locations.) This is the first official stand-alone release of Joy Division's oft-bundled and bootlegged set. It's a direct and raw scorcher, featuring awesome, un-"Hannett-ized" versions of "Digital," "She's Lost Control," and many more.
