北欧の若手デュオ、SVANEBORG KARDYBがGondwana Recordsと契約し発表する通算3枚目のアルバムが登場!!

ドラマーのJonas Kardyb、キーボード/ピアノのNikolaj Svaneborgによる北欧ジャズ・デュオSVANEBORG KARDYB。
これまで『Haven』(2020)『Knob』(2019)と2枚のアルバムを発表してきた彼らが、満を持してGONDWANA RECORDSと契約、通算3枚目となる新作を発表します!!

これまで作品同様、ひんやりメロウなエレピと、様々なリズムアプローチで音色そのものを聴かせるカラフルなドラム、ポップで親しみやすい楽曲など、これまでの持ち味をさらに進化させた見事な演奏を聴かせます。
さらに今作では一部楽曲でギターやトランペットもゲスト参加。どこか70年代のECM周辺のサウンドを思わせる透明感と空間性が実に印象的。

ジャズのみならず、エレクトロニカやインディーポップ好きにも受けそうな極上のインストゥルメンタル作品です!!

The third studio effort from the Danish folk-jazz duo featuring Nikolaj Svaneborg (Wurlitzer, Juno) and Jonas Kardyb (drums), Over Tage is Svaneborg Kardybs most organically constructed and engaging album to date. Like its predecessor, 2019s Danish Music Award-winning Knob, the ten-song set is rife with elliptical folk melodies and ambient soundscapes grounded in steady, IDM-inflected grooves. Standout pieces like "Op," "Orbit," and the sweeping title track feel rooted in both elemental Scandinavian jazz and the ambient instrumental pop of genre-hopping contemporaries like Bremer/McCoy and Sagor & Swing. Kardybs tasteful yet commanding kit work leaves ample space for Svaneborg to explore, and his note choices are as economical as they are dulcet. The duo describes the blueprints for Over Tage as having been constructed "in the earliest of mornings over the blackest of coffee." Its an apt description, as the final product evokes crisp dawn light filtered through a row of pristine icicles. ~ James Christopher Monger
