Like ONEPOINTFIVE, TWOPOINTFIVE is a between-albums offering from Amine, who this time treats the studio as a kind of rumpus room to explore his whimsicality. This is a scattered and fragmentary set that at times flirts with club and hyperpop aesthetics -- as on preview track Charmander -- without fully embracing the forms. While it isnt as impressive as Limbo from an artistic standpoint (and clearly isnt designed as such), its an entertaining stopgap that indicates numerous possibilities for the rappers third proper LP. ~ Andy Kellman
