ピート・ベッカーとマーティン・ベイツによって1980年に結成された英国バンド、アイレス・イン・ギャザ。1981年から1986年にかけてCHERRY REDに残した全音源を収録した5CDアンソロジーです。初期においては実験的ポストパンクを標榜し、時代に連れて耽美的なネオアコへとシフトしていった彼らですが、どの時代を聴いても個性が光ります。

本作は単なるアンソロジーではなく、CHERRY REDに残した6枚のアルバムと、シングルすべての楽曲をテーマ別に分類し、5つのプレイリストとして再構築したものとなっています。もちろん構成は彼ら自身が行い、マーティン・ベイツによる詳細なライナーノーツも付属。
