Recorded in California with trusted producer Corrado Rustici, La Finestra polishes even further Negramaro's trademark sound, comprised of alternative rock, electronica, strings, and a typically Italian fondness for melody and operatic drama, highlighted by Giuliano Sangiorgi's feverish vocals and texts. One of the year's biggest sellers in Italy, it spawned several singles, such as "Parlami d'Amore" (winner of the 2007 Festivalbar), "L'Immenso," and "Cade la Pioggia," featuring a brief cameo by Jovanotti, who also co-wrote the lyrics. A deluxe edition released six months later added a couple of bonus tracks, including a duet with the Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan, "Senza Fiato," from the soundtrack of the movie Cemento Armato, as well as a DVD with a documentary, Dall'altra Parte della Luna, about the making of the album. ~ Mariano Prunes
