2021年度レコード・アカデミー賞(音楽之友社)大賞銅賞受賞アーティスト、アントワン・タメスティ。ヴィオラや弦楽器といった楽器というフレームにはもはやおさまらない、超越的な音楽で空間を満たす稀代の名手。そんなタメスティが、テレマンを録音しました!協奏曲はベルリン古楽アカデミーとの共演で、つい最近もブランデンブルク協奏曲(KKC-6418,HMM-902686)で圧倒的な名演を放った顔合わせ。テレマンは、ヴィオラを主役にした作品を書いた先駆者ともいえる存在だけあって、注目の内容です。

テレマンの無伴奏作品は、原曲は独奏ヴァイオリンのための作品ですが、バッハの無伴奏作品と曲の規模は多少異なりますが、内容世界的にはそれと比肩しうる深い内容で、今日のヴィオラ奏者にとっても重要なレパートリーとなっているもの。内省的な緩徐楽章、軽やかで気品に満ちたアレグロ楽章と、タメスティの音楽と、美しい音色を満喫できます。2つのヴィオラのための協奏曲も、しっとりと落ち着いた風合いの演奏。組曲でも、非常に気品に満ちた演奏で展開されております。名手たちによる余裕たっぷりなテレマン。冒頭のブルレスケ組曲は、実にぜいたくなアルバムです!
