Six months after the release of their major-label breakthrough Dookie, nascent punk superstars Green Day joined the lineup of Woodstock 1994, delivering a memorable, antagonistic set to an audience of mud-chucking mosh enthusiasts. Culled mostly from Dookie, the energetic set list also included One of My Lies from 1991s Kerplunk! and Paper Lanterns from 1990s Slappy EP. Twenty-five years later in 2019, the nine-song concert was pressed to vinyl for Record Story Day. Despite a limited run of 6,800 copies, Woodstock 1994 debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 156. While the dirt-covered antics of the day proved to be more infamous, this set is a fine reminder of a young band at its feral, anarchic prime. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
