On bass-heavy and fevered drum-fueled cuts like “Nappy Heads,” “Recharge,” and “How Hard Is It?” Wyclef, Lauryn, and Pras let loose frantic tag-team flows reminiscent of early-'90s crews like Fu-Schnickens and Leaders of the New School, while the laidback, acoustic guitar-driven beat of “Vocab” and the dancehall-infused “Temple” would give inklings of the group’s later direction.

Blunted On Reality｜CDアルバム
Hip-HopにReggaeなど他ジャンルを取り込んだスタイルから、類を見ないグループだったFUGEES。
後の『The Score』には敵わないものの"⑨Temple"等のReggaeのオケと遜色がない作りも秀逸だし、一枚のスリリングな構成と完成度も素晴らしい。
そのスタイルから07年の今、聴いても一気に聴かせてくれる。
