チェンバロ独奏も最高!ルセのリュリ愛光る珠玉のアルバム

近年指揮者として高く評価されるルセですが、やはりチェンバロ演奏が聴きたくなります。待望の新録音、それも彼が特別な愛着を示すリュリ作品を中心としているのが興味津々。
これらはリディ・ド・ロシュフォール=テオボン夫人(1638-1708)所蔵の写本で、何とルセ自身が2004年にオークション・サイトebayで見つけて落札した唯一無二の楽譜によります。Ebayの出品者コメントには「18世紀のハープシコード曲集」とありましたが、ルセは一瞥して17世紀の、それも超お宝であることを見抜き入手することができたとのこと。

楽譜集に収録された約80曲のうち34篇はリュリ作品のチェンバロ用編曲で、あまり鍵盤作品を残していないリュリだけにルセの喜びぶりが想像できます。最高の落札者を得た手書きの楽譜が3世紀以上を経て、ふさわしい奏者により蘇ったと申せましょう。

ルセは曲順に弾くのではなく、調性別の組曲のようにまとめて統一感を図っています。幸運なことに1704年ニコラ・デュモン製の修復済のチェンバロも入手することができ、それを用いてのレコーディングとなりました。

多くはリュリのオペラからの編曲ですが、原曲を誰よりも研究しているルセゆえ神業的な出来となっています。古楽研究者、古楽ファンは見逃すことのできない新譜です。
