ロディ・フレイムを中心にスコットランドで結成、ここ日本でもネオアコの代表格として常に高い人気を誇るグループであるアズテック・カメラ。1981年にグラスゴーのレーベルPOSTCARDからデビュー、1983年にROUGH TRADEからファースト『High Land, Hard Rain』をリリースしたのちにメジャーのWEAへ移籍、本作はそのWEA在籍時の音源を総ざらいしたアンソロジーとなっています。

『Knife』(1984年)『Love』(1987年)『Stray』(1990年)『Dreamland』(1993年)『Frestonia』(1995年)の5枚のオリジナル・アルバム、1984年のグラスゴーでのライヴをはじめとする多数のライヴ音源、シングルB面曲やリミックスなどなど、初CD化も含む全112曲を収録。よっぽどのマニアでもここまで音源を揃えるのは大変です。売り切れる前にゲットしておきましょう。
