U2のシングル「11 O'Clock Tick Tock」のリリース40周年を記念した4曲入り限定12インチ半透明ブルー・ヴァイナル。「11 O'Clock Tick Tock」のフル・レングス・ヴァージョンと当時7インチ・シングルのB面曲「Touch」をSide Aに収録。そして1980年9月にロンドンのマーキー・クラブで収録された「Touch」と「Twilight」のライヴ・ヴァージョンをSide Bに収録。「11 O'Clock Tick Tock」はMartin Hannettのプロデュースの元、1980年春にダブリンのウィンドミル・レーン・スタジオで録音。同年5月にIsland Recordsからの1stシングルとしてリリースされた。

This single is U2's third and is one of four that predate the band's 1980 debut album, Boy. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock is the last non-LP single released before their first full-length and before teaming up with Steve Lillywhite. (A Day Without Me, the first single from Boy, came out three months before its release.) Seven songs in total were released before Boy, four of which were never on a proper album. This single contains the songs "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" and "Touch." "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" was a live staple for many years, but "Touch" will be unfamiliar to all but the very dedicated fan. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock was the first U2 product to be released outside Ireland and was on Chris Blackwell's Island Records. The 11 O'Clock Tick Tock single has never been released on CD. ~ JT Griffith
