Destination Berlin is a movie soundtrack for the film of the same name. The film was specially made for a new theater in Berlin that shows a full 360 degree picture. Tangerine Dreams's score is in the same style as their last album Lily on the Beach. There are a couple nice light-weight songs but the rest of the material is a little bland. There are no killer guitar tracks to grab your attention. The music, though, probably did what it was supposed to; fill the background. At times one wants to be inspired or really lifted by the music but overall that never occurs. This soundtrack was released in Germany. "Alexander Square" is the CD single from the soundtrack. The first track is an extended remix of the CD title and available on this single only. The CD also has the soundtrack versions of "Berlin Summer Nights" and "Alexander Square (LP Version)".
