Sadly, MTV Unplugged stands as Nirvana's last album. While it's an album of covers and old songs, it ranks as one of the band's most cohesive records. Instead of relying on the trio's overpowering sonic force, Unplugged concentrates on Kurt Cobain's subtly shaded songwriting and Nirvana's deceptively simple musical power. Every version of their previously recorded songs, with the possible exception of "On a Plain," dramatically improves the original, and the covers reveal more about Cobain than he intended. By the time Nirvana close with a wrenching, spine-chilling version of Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night," the emotional complexity of Nirvana's music is clear. all apologies は、カートがコートニーに捧げた唯一のラブソング、しかし、コートニーはそれを喜ばなかった。カートはこの曲ほど完成した曲はない。なぜなら、自分がコートニーを愛しているから作れた曲だと、この曲が自分にとって偉大なこと、コートニーにとって偉大なことを伝えた。しかし、コートニーはそれを、強要と受け取り、音楽性を押し付けるなと　カートの曲に対する思いさえ受け取らなかった。all apologiesは、結局、全てにごめんなさいとして、世界の意識をもっとみんな自分でいることas you areと叫んでも全く世界は変わらない絶望、その中で見つけ出した唯一のコートニートいう光に絶望そんな全部がLast day（s）に向かう、希望と絶望の絶対領域で、輝く曲。なので大好きです。
