The couple's third album in less than a year commemorated their wedding in Gibraltar on March 20, 1969. It was also the final installment of a sort of trilogy of releases which brought avant-garde music further into the mainstream than ever before (excepting "Revolution No. 9" on The Beatles' WHITE ALBUM). Their subsequent releases headed more or less into the realm of traditional song structures. Two long pieces were originally presented as the two sides of a record (which itself came in a box with a photo of a slice of wedding cake and other enclosures). "John & Yoko" finds the couple calling out each other's name with every possible sort of emphasis. "Amsterdam" was recorded during their "Bed-In for Peace" at the Amsterdam Hilton. Recorded directly to cassette, John plays guitar and sings, Yoko sings, media and friends stop by--a true document. Two additional bonus tracks were originally found as B-sides to 45s and a third is a previously unissued version of Yoko's "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking For Her Hand In The Snow)."

ジョン・レノン&ヨーコ・オノ結婚50周年記念『Wedding Album(50th Anniversary Edition)』2019年2月18日、86歳の誕生日を迎えた故ジョン・レノンの妻であるヨーコ・オノ。前衛芸術家ヨーコ・オノの再評価を目指す「YOKO ONO REISSUE PROJECT(ヨーコ・オノ再評価プロジェクト)」の第3弾がリリースされることが決定した。ヨーコ・オノ再評価プロジェクト第3弾は、ジョン・レノンとヨーコ・オノ結婚50周年を記念する『未完成作品第3番ウェディング・アルバム(50周年記念盤)』。ジョンとヨーコは1969年3月20日ジブラルタルで結婚。二人の結婚記念日の2日後の3月22日発売となる。『ウェディング・アルバム』は1969年にリリースされた『トゥー・ヴァージンズ』『ライフ・ウィズ・ザ・ライオンズ』に続くジョンとヨーコの3作目の実験的な前衛音楽作品。1969年3月20日にジブラルタルで結婚式を行なった二人はハネムーンの代わりにアムステルダムのヒルトン・ホテルのベッドの中で1週間を過ごすという「ベッド・イン」を敢行。プレスを部屋に招き入れてインタビューやフォト・セッションを受けた彼らは名声と知名度を活かし、自分たちの世界平和運動に注目を集めた。『ウェディング・アルバム』の革新的なLPパッケージは、豪華カートン・ボックスに「結婚証明書」のレプリカ、「ベッド・イン」のポスト・カード、4枚つづきのオート・スナップ、「Bagism」という文字の入ったヴィニールのバッグに入ったウエディング・ケーキの写真、ジョンのイラストが描かれているポスター、「The Wedding」と題されたポスター(入籍の手続きをとっているときの写真など)、「The Press」ブックレット(各国の新聞記事のスクラップ・ブック)など豪華なメモラビリア満載、50年前のオリジナル盤を忠実に再現している。盤はホワイト・カラー・レコードで限定リリースとなる。「YOKO ONO REISSUE PROJECT」第1弾は2016年『未完成作品第1番トゥー・ヴァージンズ』(1968年)、『未完成作品第2番ライフ・ウィズ・ザ・ライオンズ』(1969年)、『ヨーコの心/プラスティック・オノ・バンド』(1970年)、第2弾は2017年に『フライ』(1971年)、『無限の大宇宙(Approximately Infinite Universe)』(1973年)、『空間の感触 (Feeling The Space)』(1973年)が発売となっている。スタジオ・アルバム11作からなる、ヨーコ・オノ再評価プロジェクトはオリジナル・アナログ盤のパッケージを綿密に再現し、未発表写真やアーカイヴを徹底的に掘り起こし、適切なキュレーションを行い、音源にリマスタリングを施すことに焦点が置かれている。すべては時代を超える魅力を放つ作品の決定版を作り上げるという目的のため。数十年ぶりにアナログ盤が入手可能となる。
