60年代後半のブルーノ・ニコライ指揮によるカルロ・ルスティケリの、いかにもイタリア人間ドラマの香り漂う二作品から。前半『Le stagioni del nostro amore』はジャン・マリア・ボロンテが監督した、その後の虚無感漂う作品。共産党員として信念をもっていたはずの男は家庭を持ち、愛人に安らぎを求める毎日を暮らしていたが、愛人から別れを告げられ、家族のもとに帰れない男は故郷を訪れるが、時代は変わっていた。サックスが奏でるジャジーに気だるいメロディ、大人のドラマの哀しい結末の美しさ。後半『Padre di famiglia』は、ハモンドオルガンが活躍するモダンなイージーリスニング調メイン。いずれも、メロディの美しさはさすがルスティケリとニコライ。 (C)馬場敏裕
