His and his crew's second step towards that goal, SITTIN' ON CHROME, turns Ase into the main character of a movie, with realistic and comical interludes serving as the storyline. With a little help from the Isley Brothers' "For The Love Of You," the smooth groove of "The I.N.C. Ride" ignites the album's engine. Ase's intoxicated flow comes dressed with a clever rhyme style that, although bearing only passing resemblance to Nas', leaves listeners with a similar set of pieces to the bigger puzzle. He also has the Queensbridge sensation's feel for the community--take a walk through Ase's ghetto on "People In My Hood," and he ably reveals the secrets of everyone in it. But while it bears his name, Masta Ace Incorporated is far from a supported solo act, and the other members of the "corporation" know how to drop some flavor when called upon. Better known as the I.N.C., Lord Digga breaks it down in a straight-forward style on "Eastbound;" Paula Perry flexes her lyrical muscle on "Ain't No Game;" and Leshea rocks the vocals on "Turn It Up," which is driven by a meditative Roy Ayers sample.
