Rick Wakeman's mind-bogglingly prolific recording career has included a few soundtracks that take full advantage of his already cinematic piano and keyboard style. This 1981 album contains the score for the Japanese horror film THE BURNING, and is by turns chilling, intense, and, yes, scary.

The soundtrack from the movie The Burning is on side two of this album, with side one featuring "The Wakeman Variations" on some of the same material. With the exception of the "End Title Theme," the soundtrack is unusual for Wakeman, including some eerie ambient electronics, a horror story narrated by Brian Matthews, and two tracks on which Wakeman doesn't play, one a country-rock tune featuring banjo and pedal steel guitar. 「バーニング」オリジナル・サウンドトラック＜初回限定盤＞｜CDアルバム
この映画劇場で観ウエイクマンの音楽に魅了されそれでいつＣＤが出るのだろうと待っていたら昨年出たので即買いましたイエスのキーボード奏者なのでゴブリン並のロックしてます特に素晴らしいのがテーマ曲買って本当に良かった！今回も完売間違いナシ！
