An acoustic 1963 session, from Rush's Cambridge folk/blues days. Much of this is White acoustic revival blues, but there are detours on selections like Merle Travis's "Nine Pound Hammer," and Rush's own "Duncan and Brady," and the instrumental "Mole's Moan," which was written by Maria Muldaur. The album has been combined with another 1963 LP, Blues, Songs and Ballads, on Fantasy's expanded CD reissue of Blues, Songs and Ballads. ~ Richie Unterberger
