2000年にヴォーカルのクリス・ジェリコとギターのリッチ・ワードを中心に結成。2000年にアルバム『Fozzy』でデビュー。以降約15年に渡り6枚のアルバムをリリース。これと並行して、クリス・ジェリコはプロレス界のスーパースターとして君臨。90年代には日本のリングにも上がり、大きな人気を博した。また、フォジーはそのエネルギッシュなライブにも定評があり、メタリカやアヴェンジド・セヴンフォールドとのツアーにも同行している。7枚目のアルバムとなる今作『Judas』は、プロデューサーにジョニー・アンドリュース(Three Days Grace, Halestorm等)を迎え、更に進化を遂げたサウンドを披露している。
