The Don't You Want My Love EP features two versions of the title track with little in common except producer Kenny Dixon, Jr.'s signature style of jazzy funk music with a disco house aesthetic. The A-side version moves along fairly straightforward with a tightly arranged rhythm that remains constant throughout the song while a sax plays atop the beats and a female vocalist sings "your/your/your sweet lovin'" with the occasional moan. A subtle horn melody functions well as a bridge following the vocals. The B-side version serves as a more lively alternative to the seductiveness of the salacious A-side. This version kicks off with some crowd noise and some thumping, up-tempo 4/4 percussion with hints of piano and strings before eventually moving into the heart of the song after two minutes. Here the song goes disco, with looped diva vocals singing "don't you want my love/give me your/why don't you give me your love/give me your love, baby." ~ Jason Birchmeier
