This dub collection from Sir Coxsone's Studio One label contains classic rhythms from the late 1960s and early-to-mid '70s, including Willie Williams's "Armagideon Time" and Basil Daley's "Hold Me Baby." But aficionados of post-King Tubby/Lee Perry Jamaican dub are in for a surprise: these relatively conservative-sounding tracks are often mere rhythm tracks with a little added echo, a far cry from the sweeping sonic reworkings undertaken by Perry and his contemporaries on cuts like "King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown" and the SUPER APE albums.
