バートウィスルやフィニッシーと同様に"複雑な作品"を書く人として知られる英国の作曲家、ピアニストのロブ(ロバート)・キーリー。常に新しい響きを探求し、様々な楽器を用いて独創的で思いがけない作品を生み出しています。このアルバムでは彼自身がハープシコードを演奏して参加、タイトル通り"アナクロ(時代遅れ)な"4つのダンスや、インヴェンションなどを華麗に弾きこなしています。もともと不思議な味わいを持つバートウィスルの「サラバンド」もキーリーの手にかかると、一層独創的な作品になっているのも興味深いところです。2016年/2015年/2011年録音。 (C)RS
