17世紀ロンドンの劇場の音楽集。1978年ナント生まれのチェンバロの名手、ベルトラン・キュイエ、ハルモニアムンディ初登場盤となります。キュイエはクリストフ・ルセ、ピエール・アンタイらに師事したほか、ホルンも学んでおり、古楽アンサンブルのメンバーとして、またソリストとして活躍しています。スコットランドの歌姫レイチェル・レドモンドの美しい歌声が、雰囲気を一層盛り上げています。
