初期4作を手掛けたケヴィン・エルソンのプロデュース!という情報だけでもブチ上りな、再結成後3枚目の新作だ!! 闘病中のパットのプレイはごく一部に留まっているものの、全ドラム・パートを彼が監修。細かいハイハットや高速シャッフルなど、どこを切っても〈らしさ〉が全開じゃないか! エリックもそれに引っ張られ、ソロの時とは違うパワー押しの熱い歌声を披露。こういうビッグなハード・ロックを待ってたぜ!

ディファイング・グラヴィティ DXエディション ［CD+DVD］｜CDアルバム
再結成MR.BIG現状最新作。パット・トッピーがパーキンソン病で部分的な参加となりその後闘病の甲斐なくこの世を去ってしまうことを考えるとファンとしては特別な気持ちにさせられるアルバム。個人的に1曲目と2曲目は入れ替えてほしかったかな。②⑥⑦⑨と90年代的な雰囲気の曲もあり最近のブルージー路線とのバランスが一番取れてる作品だと思う。
