Following the dissolution of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters released his debut solo record, The Pros & Cons of Hitch Hiking, in 1984. The Pros and Cons of New York documents the first Roger Waters solo tour in support of the record, which was broadcast on the radio in 1985. The live collection features a number of notable session musicians including Andy Newmark, Ray Cooper, and David Sanborn, as well as Eric Clapton.
