While not their most commercially successful record, RAW DELUXE is nevertheless a solid Jungle Brothers effort and a favorite among fans. Opening with "True Blue," a JBs theme song of sorts, the album does not disappoint. Clever rhymes and subtle rhythms provide backbone to the political message behind cuts such as "Black Man on Track" and "Moving Along."
Highlights include "How Ya Want it We Got It," featuring Q-Tip among others, and the Stereo MCs' treatment of "Jungle Brother." "Bring it On" is the star of the album, however. A call to arms and a warning against complacency, this track recalls the finest moments of the JBs earlier albums. RAW DELUXE may not blaze new trails in rap, but its treatment of old school methods is superb in the Jungle Brothers' deluxe fashion.
録音 : ステレオ (Studio)
