音楽一家に生まれたステファン・ペッチュ(1963-)は、7歳からマグデブルクの音楽学校でヴァイオリンを学びましたが、10代の時にラジオで聴いたポーランドのジャズ・ヴァイオリニスト、Zbignew Seifertの音楽に強い影響を受けました。1984年には政治犯として投獄されましたが、翌年釈放され、その後は様々な音楽スタイルを身に付けました。このアルバムに収録された「Light On」は彼の代表作。弦、ピアノに多彩な音が絡みつきます。 (C)RS
