1926年ルーマニア生まれのハンガリーの作曲家、ジェルジ・クルターグの合唱とアンサンブルの為の作品を全て収録した3枚組。
現代作曲家たちの中でクルターグほど深く尊敬されている作曲家はいないと言っても過言ではありません。

このアルバムには、2013年3月から2016年7月の間に、アムステルダムのムジークヘボウ、ハーレムのフィルハーモニー・ホールで録音された、クルターグのアンサンブルのための作品、アンサンブルと合唱のための作品のすべてが収められています。準備万端のアスコ/シェーンベルク・アンサンブルが研ぎ澄まされた作品の本質をとらえた明確な演奏を披露しています。
ブックレットには指揮者ラインハルト・デ・レーウのインタビュー、ジェルジュ・クルターグのコメント、すべての歌の歌詞が掲載されています。
インタビューの中でデ・レーウは、約20年の歳月をかけ、1つ1つクルターグ夫妻の助言を得ながらクルターグの全作品を丁寧に勉強していった様子を語っています。作曲された順に作品が並べられ、クルターグの作曲技法の変遷も聴きとれる貴重なアルバムです。
