urprisingly, 1999's Sweet collection GREATEST HITS REMIXED was not the first set of modern day dance refurbishments of the acclaimed early '70s glam rock band. That honour goes to 1993's SOLID GOLD ACTION.
While it may seem far-fetched that a collection of '90s industrial/dance remixes of 70's party hearty glitter rock would actually work, SOLID GOLD ACTION proves to be a fine merger. Although Sweet were thought of as rockers, they always penned perfect dance anthems, as SOLID GOLD ACTION attests. Standouts include "Fox on the Run (Stormy City Mix)", "Action (Industrial Action Mix)", "Sweet F.A. (Instra-mental Mix)", and "Party All Night (4 Play Mix)".|
