O.S.I.: Gavin Harrison, Jim Matheos, Kevin Moore. O.S.I are something of a supergroup, revolving around singer/guitarist Jim Matheos of prog-metallists Fate's Warning and keyboardist Kevin Moore, best known for his work with Dream Theater. There are definitely some prog-metal touches here and there on OSI's third album, BLOOD, but this certainly isn't what you'd call a metal record--there just as many Radiohead-ish moments, and splashes of atmospheric electronics and modern prog. Whatever the mode, there's a creepy, sinister quality running through the music, lending a strong, distinctive, and dark mood to the album.
