マクリーシュ&ガブリエリ・コンソート新作!
大編成プロジェクト第4弾はハイドンの"四季"!

古楽界の鬼才ポール・マクリーシュがガブリエリ・コンソートを率いて取り組んできた「大編成オラトリオ」のプロジェクト。ベルリオーズの「レクイエム」(SIGCD 280)、メンデルスゾーンの「エリア」(SIGCD 300)、ブリテンの「戦争レクイエム」(SIGCD 340)に続く第4弾は、ハイドンの傑作「四季」!
ポーランド、ヴロツワフの国立音楽フォーラム(NFM)に、ガブリエリ・コンソート&プレーヤーズ、ナショナル・フォーラム・オブ・ミュージック合唱団、ヴロツワフ・バロック管弦楽団、古楽界の名歌手たち、サンプソン、オヴェンデン、フォスター=ウィリアムズが集結して繰り広げられたハイドンの「四季」では、ベーレンライター版をベースとしたマクリーシュ自身による校訂譜を使用しており、入念な楽曲研究や時代考証は今回も健在。"OVPP"とは対極に位置するマクリーシュの"大編成プロジェクト"の成果によるハイドンの「四季」が、再び世界を驚かせてくれることでしょう!
