This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Enhancements include the "Live Wire" video. Motley Crue: Vince Neil (vocals); Mick Mars (guitar, background vocals); Nikki Sixx (bass); Tommy Lee (drums, background vocals). Recorded at Hit City West, Los Angeles, California. Includes interviews conducted by Alan K. Stout. Digitally remastered by Chris Solem (1999, Future Disc). Motley Crue led the early 80's glam metal movement in L.A. Borrowing elements of theatrical arena-rock from Kiss, trashy glam from The New York Dolls, and pop sensibilities from Cheap Trick, the Crue eventually became one of the most popular rock bands of the decade. TOO FAST FOR LOVE, the band's debut, was first released independently but was soon remixed and reissued on Elektra. The music and its message may have been simple, but the metal underground immediately took notice of the Crue and its crude debut, and the group broke into the big-time with its next release, SHOUT AT THE DEVIL. "Live Wire," the rocking tale of an unstoppable, violent street thug, sets the tone for TOO FAST, one of Motley Crue's strongest and most consistent releases. "Come On And Dance," "Merry Go Round," "Starry Eyes," and "On With The Show" are melodic hard rock candy, while "Public Enemy #1," "Take Me To the Top," "Piece of Your Action," and the title track are all unruly rockers. The 1999 re-issue of TOO FAST FOR LOVE contains several previously unreleased bonus tracks, including "Stick To Your Guns" and "Toast of the Town."

商品の紹介

On their debut album, Motley Crue essentially comes across as a bash-'em-out bar band, making up in enthusiasm what they lack in technical skill. Yet that's part of the appeal of Too Fast for Love, a chance to hear the band without the glossy production of their later, most popular work, showcasing their down-and-dirty roots. The fact that pop-metal songwriting was not really a consideration helps the album come off as more genuinely trashy and sleazy, celebrating its own grime with exuberant zest. This is the Crue playing it lean and mean, effortlessly capturing the tough swagger that often came off a bit more calculated in later years, and it's one of their most invigorating records. [In 1999, the Crue remastered and reissued Too Fast for Love on their own Motley/Beyond label with four bonus tracks: three interesting previously unreleased songs and a version of the title track with a different intro.] ~ Steve Huey

Motleyの本作とRatt、Skid、Gunsの1stは、永遠に愛聴していく!!1曲目のLive Wireは、まさにLA Metalの始まりを告げるにふさわしい名曲。パンクでスリージーな感じがたまらなくシビレル!!
