The out-of-print Telex catalog gained a boost in late 1998 with the timely release of this 20-track best-of -- the companion to a collection of remixes titled I Don't Like Music (Remixes). The originals including angular, disco-inspired synth-pop nuggets like "Moskow Diskow," "I Don't Like Music" and "Peanuts" plus covers of "Rock Around the Clock," Sly Stone's "Dance to the Music" and Sparks' "Brainwash." Synth-pop or electronic fans lured in by the lone hit ("Moskow Diskow") will find a few more of comparable worth, though the novelties far outweigh the solid tracks. ~ John Bush
