All tracks have been digitally remastered. Subtitled "12 Road Trippin' Tracks", this appears from its cover art to be another cheapo budget truck driver compilation, the kind that litters the counters of gas stations and truck stops nationwide. But a closer inspection reveals this to be a largely rock & roll collection with the emphasis on rock, featuring road songs from the likes of Alice Cooper ("Under My Wheels"), the Doobie Brothers ("Rockin' Down the Highway"), Steppenwolf ("Born to Be Wild"), Foghat ("Drivin' Wheel"), Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen (the ubiquitous "Hot Rod Lincoln"), Canned Heat ("Going Up the Country"), Lynyrd Skynyrd ("Truck Drivin' Man"), and Golden Earring ("Radar Love"). Also beefing up the presentation are several selections by '80s hair bands Quiet Riot ("Slick Black Cadillac"), Judas Priest ("Heading Out to the Highway"), and Hanoi Rocks ("Taxi Driver"). ~ Cub Koda
