エイノユハニ・ラウタヴァーラ(1928-)の、全曲世界初演による声楽作品集。バリトンのための歌曲集のテキストは11世紀から12世紀に活躍したペルシアの詩人、ウマル・ハイヤームの四行詩集「ルバイヤート」から採られた教訓的なもので、ジェラルド・フィンリー(バス・バリトン)のために書かれている。その他、「バラダ」、「カント」の第5番「心の光に」、自身の歌劇『ラスプーチン』からの4つの歌曲と、どれも近年のラウタヴァーラの作風を象徴するような神秘的な音楽の中に劇的要素が込められた興味深い作品。ヨン・ストルゴーズが手兵ヘルシンキ・フィルを率いた2015年録音。 (C)RS
