ヘンデルの"イメネーオ"は1742年ダブリン版!

「ヴィヴァルディ～最後の協奏曲」(PGCD 923402/GCD 923402)のレコード・アカデミー賞(特別部門録音賞)に輝くなど、快進撃が続くファビオ・ビオンディとエウローパ・ガランテ。グロッサ(Glossa)でのリリース第5弾は、「デイダミア」と並ぶヘンデル最後期のオペラ「イメネーオ」!
ビオンディはエウローパ・ガランテとの「イメーネオ」の上演ために、大失敗に終わったロンドンでの1740年初演の「初稿版」ではなく、1742年のダブリンでの上演のために数曲のアリアを追加し、演奏会形式、"セレナータ"へと改訂された「1742年ダブリン版」を選択。アイルランド総督からの招きによりダブリンへと渡り大成功を収めたヘンデル。1741年から1742年にかけてのダブリン時代を代表する作品の1つでありながら、「メサイア」をはじめとした英語のオラトリオの陰に隠れてきた知られざる傑作の真価を、最高の理解者たち、ファビオ・ビオンディとエウローパ・ガランテの秀演で!
大きな反響を呼んだヴェラチーニの「シリアのハドリアヌス帝」(FB 1409491)で共演しているアン・ハレンベリや、神奈川県立音楽堂で上演されたヴィヴァルディの「メッセニアの神託」に出演したマグヌス・スタヴランなど、共演の歌い手たちも当代屈指の実力派揃い。ビオンディが理想的な布陣で贈る大注目のヘンデルの登場です!
