After the breakup of Gene Loves Jezebel, Michael Aston waited a few years before launching his solo career in 1995 with Why Me Why This Why Now. With the help of guitarist Mick Rossi (Andi Sex Gang, Slaughter and the Dogs), Aston created an album that adhered to his pseudo- glam and Goth roots, but presenting them in a more subdued, mature fashion.
