Just barely a teenager at the time of its release, Merry Christmas marks the first solo effort by Internet singing phenom Lexi Walker, who came to the attention of many with her compellingly mature performance as Elsa in a One Voice Children's Choir video cover of "Let It Go" from the Pixar film Frozen; it gathered eight-figure views on YouTube within weeks of being posted in early 2014. The EP offers versions of an eclectic mix of six well-known Christmas songs, including "O Holy Night," Guaraldi-Mendelson's "Christmastime Is Here," and the French carol "Pat-A-Pan."
