若き日のシナトラがラジオ/TVに残した未発売音源満載の4枚組BOX

2015年12月に生誕100周年を迎えるフランク・シナトラ。今作は彼の歴史の中でも、世界的大スターになる前夜、1935年から1955年、シナトラ20歳から40歳の間にラジオ/TVに残した名演をCD4枚にコンパイルしたもの。多くの録音物を残しながらもシングル化、アルバム化されていない音源が多く眠るシナトラの若き時代にスポットライトを当て、未発売音源を多く収録したBOXセットだ。主なハイライトとしては、シナトラのキャリアの中でも最初のラジオ・パフォーマンスとなった1935年の録音。またジョージ・ガーシュイン、コール・ポーター、ジェローム・カーン等によるスタンダードな名曲の中でも、スタジオ・レコーディングされず、放送のみでパフォーマンスされた名演を数多く収録。「The Way You Look Tonight」「I Get A Kick Out Of You」「It Had To Be You」「Embraceable You」など後にシナトラの十八番になったレパートリーを、初期の別アレンジで楽しむこともできる。ルイ・アームストロング、ナット・キング・コール、ハリー・ジェイムス、トミー・ドーシー等とのデュエットも収録。歴史的にも価値のある、貴重な音源が満載のBOXセット。
