2015年が生誕100年にあたる作曲家ゲオルギー・スヴィリドフ。ショスタコーヴィチ門下のソ連作曲家で、「時よ前進」の景気良いマーチが長年モスクワ放送のニュース番組のテーマ曲として使われていて、日本でもロシア関係者の顔が輝く懐かしのメロディとなっています。フェドセーエフはスヴィリドフの音楽を好み、日本でも「吹雪」などを頻繁に演奏して普及に努めてきました。ここではフェドセーエフがメロディに録音した古い音源を集めてCD化。スヴィリドフの代表作がすべて収められていて、まず1枚としてコレクションするにも最適。モスクワ放送響最盛期の神業的名演を楽しむことができます。
