ダニー・ボイル監督の傑作映画「トレインスポッティング」に使用された「ボーン・スリッピー:ナックス」の大ブレイクで一躍スターダムに駆け上がった1996年にリリースされ、一大ムーヴメントを巻き起こしたアンダーワールドの代表作が新リマスターで登場。
テクノの枠を超えロックファンをはじめとする多くの層に支持され、90年代を代表するテクノ/エレクトロニック・アルバムの1つとなった傑作が新リマスターでよみがえる。

Second Toughest in the Infants: Deluxe Edition｜CDアルバム
リアルタイムで最初聴いた時には本当にぶったまげたのを今でも鮮明に覚えてる。ブレイクビーツ、トランス、ジャングルなど、さまざまな音楽的要素が溶けあった全く新しいサウンドを提示した内容になっていて、今聴いても本当にカッコいい。当たり前だけど曲では永遠のマスターピース"Born Slippy"かな。先輩に連れられて94年に新宿リキッドルームに見に行ったことも今思い出した。
