チャイコフスキーの「50のロシア民謡」全曲から、近代ロシア音楽の父ミハイル・グリンカ(1804-1857)のピアノ連弾のための作品、グリンカの弟子ミリィ・バラキレフ(1837-1910)が連弾用に編曲した「カマリンスカヤ」や、バラキレフの弟子セルゲイ・リャプノフ(1859-1924)が連弾用に編曲した「幻想的ワルツ」など、ロシアのヴィルトゥオーゾ・ピアニストとしても活躍した作曲家たちによる華麗な編曲作品まで、現代の二人のヴィルトゥオーゾが奏でます!
アレクサンドル・ギンジンは1977年モスクワ生まれ、1999年エリザベート王妃国際コンクール第2位、2007年クリーヴランド国際ピアノ・コンクール第1位、2010年サンタ・カタリーナ国際ピアノ・コンクール第1位などの受賞歴を誇るピアニスト。カツァリスとは、ラヴェル作曲「ボレロ」の4台ピアノ版プロジェクトなどでも、度々共演している。
