Although it's not on par with NO SLEEP 'TIL HAMMERSMITH (one of heavy metal's all-time great live recordings), 1999's LIVE, LOUD, & LEWD is a faithful document of Motorhead's classic lineup--Lemmy, Phil Taylor, and Fast Eddie Clarke--in concert. All the tracks are taken from the late-'70s and the early-'80s, including highly electric versions of such Motorhead standards as "Overkill" and "Iron Fist." Such lesser known but just as lethal compositions as "On Parole," the one-two punch of "Iron Horse/Born to Lose," and "White Line Fever" are also featured. As the title suggests, LIVE, LOUD, & LEWD is recommended for connoisseurs of blaring, raw, and unapologetic heavy metal.
